IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh
showNets Powers Seamless Connectivity at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh
From September 27 through October 1, 2026, Pittsburgh welcomed the global robotics community for the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2026) at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center (DLCC). Recognized as one of the world's leading conferences in robotics and intelligent systems, IROS brought together researchers, engineers, academics, and industry innovators to explore the technologies shaping the future of robotics.
For showNets, the event was an opportunity to support a major international gathering and help create the seamless experience attendees and exhibitors expect from a world class event.
Reliable Connectivity for a High-Tech Event
At a conference centered on technological innovation, reliable internet connectivity is essential. From registration and attendee access to exhibitor demonstrations and day-to-day operations, a dependable network helps keep an event running smoothly.
For IROS 2026, showNets supported several exhibitors, provided registration connectivity, and deployed a robust wireless network designed to meet the needs of attendees throughout the event.
The result? Connectivity that simply worked.
The attendee wireless network performed flawlessly, with no reported issues or negative feedback from users. While network infrastructure often goes unnoticed when everything works as intended, delivering that level of reliability at a major event requires careful planning, thoughtful network design, and dependable execution.
For showNets, that is the goal: to provide the connectivity that allows organizers, exhibitors, and attendees to focus on what matters most, without worrying about the technology behind the scenes.
Supporting Exhibitors and Event Operations
Beyond attendee Wi-Fi, showNets helped support the event's broader technology needs by providing connectivity for registration and several exhibitors.
These services played an important role in helping exhibitors showcase their work and enabling essential event operations to run smoothly. At a conference featuring advances in robotics and intelligent systems, reliable connectivity is particularly important for supporting the people and organizations bringing those innovations to life.
By delivering dependable network services across these key areas, showNets helped provide the technological foundation IROS needed to succeed.
A Landmark Event for Pittsburgh and the DLCC
IROS 2026 was more than another major conference on the calendar. It represented a significant milestone for the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and the city of Pittsburgh.
The event marked the largest event ever hosted by the DLCC in terms of overall financial scale, underscoring its importance to the venue and the broader Pittsburgh community.
Hosting an event of this significance takes collaboration across many teams and service providers. From the venue's infrastructure to the services supporting exhibitors and attendees, every component contributes to the overall experience.
showNets was proud to play a part in delivering the reliable connectivity that supported this landmark gathering.
