2026 National Truck Driving Championships
Pittsburgh was the destination for some of the nation’s safest and most skilled professional drivers as the 2026 National Truck Driving & National Step Van Driving Championships brought finalists together for an unforgettable week of competition.
After months of state-level competitions, the best of the best arrived in Pittsburgh ready to put their skills, knowledge, and professionalism to the test. With multiple vehicle classes, a packed schedule, and plenty happening throughout the week, keeping attendees and event operations connected was an important part of the experience.
Where Precision Meets Competition
The National Truck Driving Championships are about much more than getting behind the wheel.
Competitors faced a written examination, a meticulous pre-trip inspection, and a challenging skills course designed to test their accuracy and decision-making under pressure. Drivers competed across multiple vehicle classes, with First, Second, and Third Place honors awarded in each.
Additional awards recognized outstanding performance throughout the competition, including the Professional Excellence Award, Vehicle Condition Award, and Rookie of the Year.
The week ultimately culminated in the announcement of the prestigious NTDC Grand Champion, recognizing the driver who rose to the top of an incredibly talented field.
